Marc Dwyer, Esq.

Marc Dwyer, Esq. specializes in Child Custody, Criminal Defense, and Bankruptcy. He currently serves as lead trial counsel for the firm’s Criminal Defense and Bankruptcy Divisions and has personally handled thousands of civil and criminal cases in both federal and state courts. He has represented landlords, tenants, employers, employees, creditors, debtors, husbands, wives, home builders, buyers, sellers, and even non-profit organizations, including churches and church-related entities. He was admitted pro hac vice to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. He is also admitted to all three Federal District Courts covering the State of Florida (the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts). Attorney Dwyer graduated with two bachelor degrees from the City University of New York at Queens College in 1993 and earned his Doctorate of Juris Prudence at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville. He is also the first student of Florida Coastal to win a State-Wide Best Individual Appellate Advocate Award in State-Wide Moot Court Competition. He specializes in the areas of Criminal Defense, Personal Injury Law, and Family Law. With over 23 years of litigation and trial experience. Mr. Knight and his team have dedicated themselves to protecting the rights and freedoms of thousands of their clients and he is licensed to practice in county and circuit courts throughout Florida and in Federal Court; this includes Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Daytona, Broward, Miami, and surrounding areas. Attorney Knight received his B.S. degree in International Marketing from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York City and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington D.C. In 1997 he started Dwyer & Knight Law Firm ~ 500Bankruptcy.com in Tallahassee, Florida and has been providing quality legal services throughout Florida.


Stephen Knight has served as the President and Vice President of Tallahassee Barristers Association, and has been a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Tallahassee Bar Association, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys. Mr. Knight has also served as President of the Caribbean Organization of Tallahassee, Vice President of the Tallahassee graduate chapter of Phi Beta Sigma, and is a member of the Capital City Chamber of Commerce and other civic associations. Attorney Knight has also served as the President of the Tallahassee-St. Maarten Foundation, president of the Caribbean.


Mr. Knight has received several awards and recognition for his contributions to the legal community and the Tallahassee community at large. Stephen Knight sponsors a little league team The Knights and has received several awards.


Attorney Knight is currently the legal commentator for the talk show What Really Matters To You on WTAL. He has also published many articles for the magazine The Legal Digest.

Fred E. Pearson, Jr., Esq.

Mr. Pearson has been a Florida Attorney since 1996 and has worked assisting clients in the areas of Personal Injury, Family, Criminal, and Employment Law.


Mr. Pearson has settled or achieved trial judgments in hundreds of cases amounting from thousands to over six million dollars. Mr. Pearson has helped thousands of clients over the last 24 years and has been recognized as an Elite Lawyer, an Eagle member of the Plaintiff’s Legal Association, a Wall of Tolerance recipient for his work representing those who have been discriminated against, and Gadsden County Man of the Year. Mr. Pearson is driven to achieve the very best outcome for his clients and is always happy to share his knowledge and expertise with clients and fellow lawyers. Mr. Pearson is also a certified Florida Supreme Court Circuit Civil Mediator.


Mr. Pearson has taught Criminal Law and D.U.I Enforcement Law to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) cadets.


Before being an Attorney, Mr. Pearson served in the U.S. Navy as an Intelligence Analyst with Naval Investigative Services (NIS), specializing in counterintelligence and terrorism.


Jacob Steele, Esq.

Jacob Steele is an Associate Attorney with Dwyer & Knight Law Firm ~ 500Bankruptcy.com and practices in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Defense at the firm’s Flagler Beach location. Mr. Steele was born and raised in West Virginia.


He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and became a permanent Florida resident in 2019 when he began studying at Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 2024.


While in law school, Mr. Steele served on the Editorial Board of the University’s Environmental and Earth Law Journal, and one of his articles was chosen for publishing by the Environmental Law Journal in 2021. Attorney Steele was also a member of the school’s Environmental and Earth Law Clinic, where he worked directly under the supervision of professors and worked closely with local Florida non-profits to assist them with a variety of legal issues.


Mr. Steele is also a lifelong musician and an Eagle Scout. Attorney Steele is devoted to each client and each case. Mr. Steele is committed to delivering high-quality legal and personal services to all of his clients and their families.
